Alfonso Faustino: HAM Radio Outlet: Oakland, CA (K6ASF)

Nick at HAM Radio Outlet in Oakland, California was awesome.  He paired me up with the HAM equipment that match my commitment-phobic style.

I made my purchase of the following HAM equipment from him:

Nick was courteous and professional; but, most importantly, he knew his stuff, and he took the time to learn about my HAM needs and interests; hence, he was able to effectively pair me up with the most effective equipment that would address my HAM lifestyle.

He is the only one managing the store; so, when other customers called in or walked in while he was helping me, he had to juggle his time with me in order to address all other customers coming at him — he did this without sacrificing his professionalism and courtesy.

Another quality that I liked about Nick is his ethics. He didn’t sell me unnecessary stuff. I wanted an amplifier, and he was against it because it was an unnecessary part that would drive up my cost without providing me any benefit.

The other thing I like about HAM Radio Outlet was the price of my Yaesu FT-857D — the cost before taxes was $849, which is about $100-$200 less expensive than other brick-n-mortors; and, also less expensive than retailers selling on Amazon and other online mediums.

So, if you’re in the market for HAM equipment, check out Nick at Ham Radio Outlet in Oakland, California.

Check 6!
